Getting started

Who can use Able Clinic?

Adults aged 18 to 75 with a BMI of 30+, or 27+ with a weight-related condition. Full criteria on the eligibility page.

Do I need a GP referral?

No. We ask for your GP details so care stays joined up, but a referral is not required.

How long does approval take?

Most health checks are reviewed within one working day. Complex histories can take longer, a careful no is better than a fast yes.

What if I am declined?

You pay nothing, and the prescriber explains why. Where useful, we signpost to your GP or NHS services.

I was declined elsewhere. Can you help?

Sometimes. Different services apply different caution levels. Complete the health check and our prescriber will assess your case on its merits.

Pricing and payment

Is there a consultation fee?

No. The health check and prescriber review are free. You pay only if approved and you choose to proceed.

What does the monthly price include?

Medicine, prescriber reviews, monthly check-ins, unlimited clinical messaging, and tracked chilled delivery. Full details on the prices page.

When am I charged?

After prescriber approval, before dispatch. At each reorder, the price is confirmed before any charge.

Can I pause or cancel?

Any time, from your account or by message, before your next order date. No contract, no cancellation fee.

Delivery

How fast is delivery?

Approved orders leave the pharmacy the same or next working day and usually arrive within 48 hours, tracked.

Is the packaging discreet?

Fully. Plain outer box, no branding, no indication of contents.

Do I need to be home?

No signature is required. You can set a safe-place instruction with the courier. Move pens to the fridge when you can. They tolerate the journey chilled and insulated.

Is delivery included?

Yes, tracked, chilled delivery is part of the monthly price. More on the delivery page.

Treatment

What are the most common side effects?

Nausea, constipation, diarrhoea, reflux and tiredness, mostly mild and short-lived. The side effects guide covers management and warning signs.

What if I miss a dose?

Mounjaro: within 4 days. Wegovy: within 5 days. Tablets: skip and resume tomorrow. Full rules in the missed dose guide.

Can I travel with my medicine?

Yes, hand luggage, original packaging, prescription label. In-use pens tolerate 30 days below 30°C. See the travel guide.

What happens when I reach my goal?

Your prescriber plans the maintenance phase with you, lower dose, spaced doses, or a supported stop. Start at the maintenance hub.

How do I switch from another provider?

Bring proof of your current dose and we continue your titration rather than restarting it. Details in switching treatments.

Contact

How do I message the clinical team?

From your patient account, unlimited, and a clinician replies, usually the same day.

What about urgent problems?

Severe stomach pain, facial swelling, breathing difficulty: 999 or A&E. Vomiting over 24 hours or worrying symptoms: 111. Account messages are not monitored for emergencies.

How do I complain?

We take complaints seriously and answer within 5 working days. The process is on the complaints page.
